Talkgroups
Groups share live PTT or a conference call. Conferences currently support groups with up to six members; PTT supports up to 32.
Saving replaces the member list. New entries get receive and transmit access. Edit permissions below.
Accounts
An account signs in to this website or enrolls a phone. Device credentials keep calls available after login. One account can manage one line.

Repeatable impairment test
Runs the server’s configured diagnostic speech sample through Codec2. Compares a simple stream with the protected profile; saves metrics without recording live calls.
No test run yet.
Backups & migration
Download a password-protected copy of accounts, line numbers, enrolled phones, groups, messages, Crosslink settings and certificate identity. Existing calls can continue while the backup is created.
Keep this password: a lost password cannot be recovered. The archive contains private account and message data. Maximum uncompressed size: 128 MiB.
Move to a new server
- Prepare a fresh Ubuntu server with the same or a newer Crosslink source release.
- For the final move, make phones unavailable, end calls and take a new backup. Stop the old server so the databases do not diverge.
- Transfer the backup and run the release’s migration installer on the new server. It refuses to overwrite existing Crosslink data.
- Configure your public server address and certificate. Existing phones use Settings → Change server address; accounts and device enrollment are retained.
Restore is performed on the new server. Asterisk, DNS, firewall rules and OS packages are configured separately. SIP line mappings are saved for reference; reconnect VoIP.ms on the new server. Phone contacts, local drafts and app settings remain on each phone. Users sign in again to the website after restoring.
Software updates
Install a Crosslink release here, then download the phone app. Your server settings, subscribers and device enrollments stay in place.
Android app
Open this page on your phone. Download the ZIP, extract it in My Files, tap the APK, and choose Update. Keep the installed app and its data.
Install a server release
Checking the update service…
Release signature and all file checksums verified.
End any calls or PTT first. Installation briefly disconnects the phones; they can reconnect after the restart. A backup is created before installation.
